The GRABS team conducted a scoping research trip to Greece from February 24th to 28th.
One of the main objectives of the trip was to establish a participatory approach from the outset. To achieve this, we organized a workshop in collaboration with Melissa, a network for migrant and refugee women living in Greece. During this workshop, we discussed research methods, positionality, and ethics with young women who come to Melissa. Most importantly, we sought their insights on how to design questions that are sensitive and considerate of young people’s experiences. We also conducted a survey to gather their views on the participatory activities that interest them, so we can plan activities based on their preferences.
Additionally, we met with various grassroots organizations in Athens to explore potential avenues for future collaboration.
